Terms & Conditions 

Terms & Conditions of use and Balloon Aftercare. 

Please read these carefully before confirming your booking, by paying your deposit you are agreeing to these terms & conditions of use.

Balloon Aftercare - Please read these care instructions before your collection.

Booking Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit has been paid. If some time (48hours) has passed since your quote you will need to confirm your date is still available before paying your deposit. 

 

The balance and the £50 damage deposit for prop hire is due one week before your event.

 

Please note we are not able to send reminders for payments so please do set a reminder for yourself for your payment date.

 

Delivery and collection

Delivery and collection time will be confirmed nearer to your date as we make multiple deliveries a day. If specific times are needed you must confirm this on booking.

 

You/the venue contact, must be available at the agreed delivery or collection times, an additional mileage cost will be incurred and taken from the damage deposit if we have to make any additional journeys to get into a venue or home. 

 

Please make us aware prior to booking of any access details we need to know for delivery or getting access to a venue.

 

Light up numbers and letters are 4ft and plug in. We do not provide extension cables so please have one to hand if needed for your set up. Lights are indoor use only. Any props that are agreed for outside use must be brought inside overnight, and in wet conditions. Props must be kept safe and secure overnight. DO NOT LEAVE LIGHTS ON OVERNIGHT. DO NOT PLACE DRINKS ON TOP OF LIGHTS

Damage costs

We take a £50 damage deposit, and ask that you take care of our props. Any damage during your hire will result in your damage deposit being kept for repairs/replacement items. For items that cost more than the damage deposit, clients will be invoiced for the full amount of the hired items. By confirming your booking and making payment of the non-refundable booking deposit you are agreeing to these terms and conditions and to agree to pay for damaged items or repairs incurred during your hire period. All items are checked and tested before hire. Including lamps in all lights.

 

On the rare occasion that a lamp (bulb) should go on your hire, no refund or discount will be offered.

 

50% of balloon quotes are to be paid on booking. With the balance due the week before. Please note balloons can be a choking hazard and young children should be supervised around balloons. Young children should be supervised around the larger props and sailboards.

Cancellation

If you wish to cancel your booking the following charges will apply

less than 7 days notice full deposit will be kept.

8 days to 4 weeks notice 50% of deposit kept or the value of stock purchased if over 50% of deposit cost.

over a month to two month notice costs of materials that have purchased will be taken from the deposit. two+ months notice if no stock purchased full deposit refunded we will try to move your event on to another date if we have availability to do so. Please note by making payment and booking you are agreeing to these terms and conditions. Thank you

BALLOON AFTERCARE 

To keep your balloons looking good for as long as possible please follow the steps below: Keep balloons away from direct sunlight and warm places. Helium expands in warm temperatures so balloons can burst if left in front of windows, in conservatories, cars etc. Please ensure you have enough space in the collection vehicle. No refund or replacements will be given to damaged balloons if the collection vehicle space is not big enough to accommodate the balloons safely. 

 

Avoid very low temperatures too as they can affect the float time of the balloon, balloons prefer to be in comfortable room temperatures. Keep the balloons away from open windows, doors and breezy spots as they can be blown against sharp objects and will burst. Balloons look good enough to touch but please handle them with extreme care as they are delicate. It is best to keep little fingers away from the balloons as they are not built to be played with (at least until the party is over!) Make sure balloons are not near any sharp objects as they will burst. Check there are no nails in walls or sharp corners/edges close to where you are displaying the balloon/balloons as it will puncture if they brush against them.

Balloons are inflated well before you collection time for quality control so any open seals or faults are identified before your collection. 

​

Oxidisation - This is when latex balloons will go cloudy, dusty, matt finish from the sun. this is a chemical reaction outside of our control and we have no control of when or if that will happen after balloons have been collected.  

 

Once the balloon has been collected Days of Love Events is unable to replace balloons that have been damaged by any of the above circumstances.
